Whitewater Rafting |
|
| |
(class 2+ to 4+ during normal water flow, some 5 during high water) |
|
| |
This is the whitewater experience in Malaysia and will be challenged by its superb yet, steep and technical rapids.
Generally, the river flows in abundance through spectacularly beautiful riverine flora and fauna, a result of the high rainfall and relatively undisturbed catchments. Still in a pristine and natural state in most places especially in the upstream reaches, they gush continuously throughout the year. It also acts as the people’s playground by providing recreational opportunities as well as posing challenges to the intrepid travellers and the adventure-seekers
(i.e. river tubing, whitewater rafting and kayaking). For the nature lover or thrill seeker, rafting enthusiast or active kayaker, there is an unforgettable experience awaiting you.
Rafting is run twice a day at: 10 am and 2 pm.
Duration at average water level is approximately 2 hours from put-in to pull-out point (6km).
Transport from Kuala Lumpur can be arranged for an additional fee of RM420/ van (12 passengers). We will gladly provide you with more information on how to get here, if needed.
Minimum: 12 persons |

All our instructors are certified whitewater and swift-water rescue instructors from
American Canoe Association (ACA) and we follow its professional and internationally
renown standard in all our classes and on the river.

day is spent on the lake and only when the students show reasonable control of
his/her boat, we proceed to the river.

3) Intro to Moving water techniques
4) Intro to Eskimo Roll
5) Easy river run (depending on progress).
The duration of the beginner’s course is 3 days.

Telom River, Pahang |
|
| |
This river has its tributaries in the Cameron Highlands of Pahang. Although it has been dammed at upper reaches, it drains a vast upland and soon gets enough water to kayak again. The river is a very challenging class 4 to 4+ river with an occasional class 5. It follows a beautiful river valley through mainly old secondary forest. The only access is via Cameron Highlands by 4-wheel drive and a 3 hours hike into the put-in point. The pull-out point is approximately 50 km further down stream and camping halfway through the excursion is necessary. The entire trip is a 4 days / 3 nights stint and the best season is from February to September when the flow is relatively moderate.
